James Shields, MD, MBA, is a Board-Certified Physician with over 25 years clinical experience in pain management, anesthesiology and emergency medicine in the community hospital setting. 


Dr. Shields is a leading physican in the practice of Interventional Pain Management. 


He has long served patients with services including cervical and lumbar epidural steroid injections, selective nerve root and paravertebral blocks, sacroiliac joint injections, selective nerve root and neurolysis, zygopophyseal joint blocks, radiofrequency neuroablation, spinal cord stimulation and narcotic medication management.

Using his education, training, and experience Dr. Shields can review the records that you provide and write an opinion as to the probability of service connection of a disabling condition associated with the spine, chronic pain, peripheral neuropathy and other disabling conditions of the nerves.
